This shows how I built my scratch built rc Ultra Lite Slow Flyer airplane. It has a 47″ wingspan and is made from wood and 3/4″ pink foam insulation sheet. I contoured the wings with a hot wire cutter that I made out of a guitar string and car battery charger. I used the gearbox from an older plane, got a 3 channel radio on ebay for and cheap mini servos from hong kong for .00 a piece and they work great! The plane flies beautifully. ** IF YOUR INTERESTED IN MODEL TRAINS, CHECK OUT MY DISPLAY SHELVES ON EBAY – JUST SEARCH donald3968 in the bar on ebay!! ** ALL music is from www.freeplaymusic.com.

Current Pic as of February 2011: yes, the plane still exists. if you want info, please inquire, as it is about a mile from me. iowaaviationheritagemuseum.webs.com I used to go to Byron’s expo when I was a kid up in Ida Grove. Then the city of Ankeny, Iowa bought the expo from Byron. I live in Ankeny, and I can say the city administration ruined the expo. Plain and simple. Bad management, sucked the money out of it, lack of knowledge in aviation or radio control, yet alone couldn’t comprehend that it was truly a global event and only rivaled in attendance by the the Iowa State Fair. All in all, it would still be the largest and most well known radio control meet on the planet if it weren’t for educated idiots that run a city… BTW. Byron is what got me interested in aviation to begin with, so it is embedded into my very being. ~b101aa2 Anyways, this is Byron’s B-29 I have did aluminum patch work on it many times and I miss the plane. And I miss the expo. the aicraft carrier last I looked was still building rust. sad. thanks much and don’t forget to subscribe www.cozmiktoys.com
